What Exactly is AskHeartBeat.Com?

AskHeartBeat™ is an award-winning resource for information and advice on Black male/female and interracial romantic relationships.

Launched almost 15 years ago (1997), AskHeartBeat.Com was the first site on the web to focus on the romantic dilemmas and relationship issues particular to African American men, women and teens, as well as participants involved with or curious about interracial relationships. The topics and issues addressed may be social, emotional, environmental or cultural, but they all in some way are important to the way we relate (or fail to relate) to each other within our interpersonal relationships.

Who is Ms. HeartBeat?

Deborrah Cooper, writing under the pen name of “Ms. HeartBeat” has almost 20 years of solid experience in the relationships field and brings this expertise to you on AskHeartBeat.Com!™

Ms. HeartBeat has been a source of comfort and creative problem resolutioAdvice columnist Deborrah Coopern within Black/African American romantic relationships since 1991. She has hosted five conferences in the Bay Area for adults and teens on relationship issues, and is regularly invited to make presentations to singles groups in the area. Her advice column sensitively addresses matters of the heart, and previously appeared in dozens of web sites and newspapers around the nation before scaling back her workload to concentrate more on family and other projects.

In 2007 Deborrah published her first book “Sucka Free Love: How to Avoid Dating The Dumb, The Deceitful, The Dastardly, The Dysfuncitonal & The Deranged”, a hilarious, street-smart guide to modern dating issues and behaviors. The book is available on Amazon.Com. Find out more information here.

Ms. HeartBeat hosted a television talk show on relationships (“HeartBeat”) in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1995-1998. She was a regular on-air guest at the Bay Area’s #1 hip hop station KMEL106.1 FM in San Francisco for five years, and has appeared on Fox Television’s talk show “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus,”and BET’s “Oh Drama!” She is a media pro with the ability to quickly adapt to any audience or format.

She has also been interviewed and appeared in Essence Magazine, Ebony Magazine, Black Enterprise Magazine, Essence Online, The Houston Post, Oakland Tribune, Yahoo Internet Life! Honey Magazine, and many Black press, European and Canadian magazines and newspapers.

Ms. HeartBeat combines wisdom, good common sense, a great sense of humor, and lots of street smarts. Both you and your audience will appreciate her lively, direct sista-girl approach and what she has to say!
